The Sea Shepard Conservation Socity has a new toy in it's war aginst whaling. I am tottaly with the efforts to stop whaling when it is being done illegaly. The Japanese use a loophole in the ban on whaling by labeling their missions for scientific reasearch. They target non-endangerd minkies but also take some endangerd ones which make their practices even worse. The season starts in December and runs for three months where they will target 900 whales annualy. The meat is sold commercialy in Japan, yet the missions are for sicentific reasearch. Why our country has not spoken up about this matter irks me. If we put some pressure on Japan and hit where it hurts, the wallet then we could help with at leat limiting them in their practices.
